Morris County Personal Trainer Carey Yang Laments the Death of a Pioneering Fitness Guru Jack LaLanne at Age 96

Morris County personal trainer Carey Yang pays tribute to “The Godfather of Fitness” Jack LaLanne, a pioneer in the health and fitness industry, who passed away at age 96.

DENVILLE, NJ -- January 25, 2011 -- The health and fitness world lost an inspirational icon Jack Lalanne who died at age 96 on January 23, 2011. Jack LaLanne died of respiratory failure due to pneumonia at his home in Morro Bay, California.

“Jack was the pioneer of modern exercise and fitness. He was such an inspiration that I wish everyone, including myself, would do by exercising and eating healthy every day. It’s sad to hear about the passing of such a great man,” said Carey Yang, a fitness expert and personal trainer at Beyond Fitness Solutions, LLC in Denville, Morris County, New Jersey.

Francois Henri "Jack" LaLanne (September 26, 1914 – January 23, 2011) was an American fitness, exercise, nutritional expert, and motivational speaker who had been called “The Godfather of Fitness.”

He published numerous books on fitness and hosted the longest-running fitness television show for 34 years. LaLanne opened the very first health spa in 1936 in Oakland, CA, and has since dedicated his whole life to encouraging people to better themselves through exercise and fitness.

Even the most famous exercise "Jumping Jack" was named after Jack LaLanne. It proves that Jack has such a huge impact on the general population. He's the godfather and the most influential person of modern fitness industry. “Without Jack there wouldn’t have been Jane Fonda, Richard Simmons, Denise Austin, Kathy Kaehler, Jillian Michaels, or Bob Harper,” Yang said.

LaLanne gained recognition for his success as a bodybuilder as well as for his prodigious feats of strength. He was inducted to the California Hall of Fame and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

“I remember watching his TV interview when he turned 95 and was promoted his new book back in late 2009,” Yang said. “Jack was just as energetic and passionate about fitness and exercise as he’s ever been. He was doing his signature leg raise while sitting on the studio chair. Jack’s truly amazing!”

Yang said: Jack is the ultimate role model for lifelong health and fitness. He’s my hero and remained forever in my heart. Jack will be remembered and respected for years to come.

New Jersey Personal Trainer Carey Yang Laments the Death of Forever Fitness Guru Jack Lalanne

The health and fitness world lost an inspirational figure Jack Lalanne who died at age 96 on January 23, 2011.  Jack LaLanne died of respiratory failure due to pneumonia at his home in Morro Bay, California.

The conventional bodybuilding workout routine is simply not feasible for most 9-to-5 working folks. We’ll still have many personal, family, social obligations after 5.



Here is a tri set workout routine that can help triple your fat loss results. Triset refers to that you performa three exercises one after another with little or no rest in between at the prescribed weights and repetitions. You rest only after completing the three exercises. Then you repeat the three exercises for the prescribed sets.



Triset Workout #1 (12 reps of 3 sets, 2-minute rest)

(Standing Position)

- Dumbbell Deadlift

- Dumbbell Biceps Curl

- Dumbbell Shoulder Press



Triset Workout #2 (10 reps of 3 sets, 2-minute rest)

(Prone lying on Flat Bench)

- Dumbbell Flye

- Dumbbell Press (neutral)

- Dumbbell (weighted) abs curls

Tripling Your Fat Loss Results by Doing Triple Sets

This is a triset workout routine based on barbell weight at 135#.


Do the following the three exercises back to back with little or less than 15 seconds of rest (just enough time to move the bar on or off the rack).


- Flat Bench Chest Press x 12 reps

* Move the bar off the rack then onto the bench

- Romanian Deadlift x 12 reps (mixed grip)

- Traps Shrugs x 12 reps

* Move the bar from the bench onto the rack

* Rest for 2 minutes. Then the 3 exercises for another 3 sets

 
Adjust the weights so that you can do 10 to 12 rep range for each exercise.

Push and Pull Your Weights to a Balanced and Symmetrical Body

It’s very important to train your body for balanced strength and muscle sizes for many reasons – aesthetics and injury prevention.




Our joints and body can move around in different directions and angles. It’s to our best benefits to train in the full range of motion under control and safety.



Here is a simple workout routine to train opposing muscle groups and opposite-side movement in opposite directions.



It’s simple but not easy as I also include drop-set scheme in the training protocol.



Performe each of the following exercises for 30 reps. Do 10 reps in the first weight. Immediate lower weight for the second 10-rep set. Then further reduce the weight for the third 10-rep set.



Rest for 1 to 2 minutes between the exercises.



Seated Low Cable Row

@ 10 x 10 reps, @9 x 10 reps, @8 x reps



Cybex Machine Chest Press

@ 175 x 10 reps, @ 155 x 10 reps, @ 135# x 10 reps



Lat Pulldown

@10 x 10 reps, @ 9 x 10 reps, @ 8 x 10 reps



Cybex Machine Shoulder Press

@110 x 10 reps, @90 x 10 reps, @70 x 10 reps



You can replace each exercise with a similar variation.
