Martial Arts Photography Studio Morris County New Jersey

Martial Arts Photography - Taekwondo Style Poster

Being a personal fitness trainer and martial artist, I'm blessed by combining my passions and work into a lifestyle.

It's not easy to capture the right action shots for martial arts movements. When you do your hand form, weapon form, punching, kicking, jumping, sparring, fighting or in the tournament, The "Kodak" moment is hard to come by if you let the amateur do the job.

Luckily, I have found a black-belt martial artist who's also a professional photographer or vice versa. You don't want to miss the shots!

Here is their introduction ...

Welcome to Martial Arts Photo Studio. We capture and showcase your passion for martial arts. If you are a martial arts enthusiast who would like to preserve your favorite martial arts memories forever, you are at the right place!!

Our photographer is a champion Black Belt and expert in martial arts photography. You have trained so hard. You deserve to have the best photographer to capture and preserve your best moves and proudest moments in martial arts. We can do that for you!

Why Choose Martial Arts Photo Studio?

1. We specialize in martial arts photography

As you know, martial arts photography requires specialized skills. It’s very different from regular studio portraits or other sports photography. In addition to having excellent photography skills, the photographer must be able to capture your martial arts moves as well as who you are as a martial artist.

When it comes to action shots in martial arts photography, the ability to capture the right move at the right time (i.e. freeze the action at the perfect timing) is extremely crucial. Especially when you are executing a martial arts move — during your training, breaking, sparring, Black Belt promotion test, or during a tournament — sometimes there is no second chance. The photographer’s ability to anticipate AND capture the right action move at the right time can make or break the picture.

General sports photography experience is NOT enough to produce excellent martial arts photography, since martial arts is such a specialized art form. We have years of experience in capturing these special moments for our clients (both adults and children) at martial arts schools, school demo team performances, martial arts tournaments etc.

2. Our photographer has many years of training in both photography AND martial arts

Our photographer is a champion Black Belt who has trained and won multiple gold medals in several styles of martial arts. The training, competition experiences and intimate knowledge in various styles of martial arts is PRICELESS!That means our photographer knows what martial arts moves look good, what angle to take the shots, and how to anticipate AND capture them at the perfect timing for YOU.

3. We bring our martial arts photo studio to you

We will come to your martial arts school, martial arts tournament, or a location of your choice. It saves you precious time, money and energy. This will also help you perform your best, and guarantee the best possible photo shoot to showcase your martial arts skills.

You have trained SO hard to get to where you are in martial arts. Don’t you want to preserve your best martial arts moves and proudest moments FOREVER?

Make sure you hire the right martial arts photographer. The Martial Arts Photography Studio is the right choice for YOU!

Quick Fat Burning Circuit Workout for Pre-Thanksgiving Feast

With Thanksgiving feast just a few hours away, it is still not too late to squeeze a quick fat burning workout before the feast starts. “You can still enjoy the foods, drinks and company of friends and family without feeling guilty and still lose weight. The key is nutrition timing or meal planning,” says Carey Yang, a certified personal trainer and fat loss expert based in Morris County, New Jersey.
Yang is the owner and master personal trainer at Beyond Fitness Solutions, LLC — a leading in-home personal training and weight-loss management company serving and helping clients in Morris County, Sussex County, Passaic County, Essex County and Somerset County areas in New Jersey.
“If you have a metabolic resistance training with emphasis on boosting metabolism before the big Thanksgiving meal, your body is in the calorie-starved fat-burning mode. The foods you take in later will be consumed and may actually help you build muscle if you choose the foods wisely,” Yang says.
Here is a fat burning circuit workout routine that one can do anywhere. You can hold on to anything. Don’t be deceived. Five to ten pound dumbbells are very challenging.

No BS Guide to Thanksgiving Holiday Diet for Fast Fat Loss

With Thanksgiving just four days away and the holiday season around the corner, it is hard for people to resist all the eating and drinking, and the weight gain that comes with it. If history is the guide, the average Americans who are already struggling with their weight are going to pack on another 10 to 15 pounds by the New Year.

"This is a year-after-year vicious cycle. People gain weight during the holiday season and try to lose weight throughout the year. Most people fail, so they end up with net weight-gain of 5 to 10 pounds a year. Gradually, it’s 10, 20, then 30 pounds, and more," says Carey Yang, a certified personal trainer and fat loss expert based in Morris County, New Jersey.

Yang is the owner and master personal trainer at Beyond Fitness Solutions, LLC -- a leading in-home personal training and weight-loss management company serving and helping clients in Morris County, Sussex County, Passaic County, Essex County and Somerset County areas in New Jersey.

"One of the biggest traps for people wanting to lose weight is to use foods as a way of comforting themselves or soothing their stress and anxiety and make them feel good," Yang says. "Holidays, parties, social functions, weather are all triggers to binge eating or emotional eating. If you feel guility after eating, that’s unhealthy eating behavior. You should feel satisfied after eating for physical hungry."

Yang offers a sensible, practical holiday eating guide - what to eat and what not  - to help people navigate the dining table, cocktail party, and snack bar. "You don't have to deprive yourself of holiday feast and holiday spirit. You do have to have the willpower to say "No," says Yang.

DO sit or stand yourself as far away from the appetizer table as possible.

DO eat a little less and ramp up your exercise leading up toward the event. When the event takes place, you’ll look and feel better than you first expected and you will feel less guilty when you enjoy yourself at the event.

DO bring your own dish to the occasion. Nobody has to know that it’s healthy or low calorie. At least you’ll know how many calories it has and you will have something to snack on of your own choice.

DO sit at the table as far from the unhealthy food options as possible. If you have to keep standing up, putting your drink down and reaching across Auntie Annie to grab a piece of bread.

DO send people home with food if you are hosting a party. Leftover foods make people overeat.

DON’T try to convince yourself that you’re going to eat less after the holiday event. It's okay to eat and enjoy the foods at the event.

DON”T mix-drink wine, beer or hard alcohol. Your system will get so messy afterwards. Or at least have something to eat in between different drinks.

DON’T sit in front of the TV. What’s on TV this thanksgiving? An awesome football game. What’s in front of the TV? Most likely a table with unhealthy snacks.

Yang says, one last word, I want to wish everyone a happy and safe Thanksgiving holiday. Drink responsibly and drive safe.

Metabolic Bodyweight Workout System to Burn More Fat in Less Time

For millions of Americans struggling with their weights, tired of the same old gym workouts and bored with cookie-cutter diet program without seeing results, now they can enjoy a safe and effective rapid fat-loss program with their own bodyweight-based exercises. “It’s your own bodyweight, it’s free and you can do the exercises anytime, anywhere you want,” says Carey Yang, a certified persona trainer and fitness expert in New Jersey.
Yang is the owner and master personal trainer at Beyond Fitness Solutions, LLC — a leading in-home personal training and weight-loss management company serving and helping clients in Morris County, Sussex County, Passaic County, Essex County and Somerset County areas in New Jersey.
“Far too many people are wasting their time and fat-burning potential every time they’re doing the cookie-cutter gym workouts and long boring cardio exercises,” Yang says. “Here are three mistakes they make for not seeing results they want.”
1. They only burn calories during the workouts.
If you want to melt maximum fat in the shortest time possible, you need to fire up your fat burning metabolism so it’s pumping at 100%, 24 hours a day. They were not working with enough intensity to maximally ignite their fat burning fires. The result? Unfortunately, as soon as they finished their workouts, all their fat burning would stop completely. Their metabolism would go cold.
2. They are not burning enough total calories to lose fat quickly.
Finding the right exercise balance is tricky. You have to train hard, as we already saw. But if you add too much intensity you’ll burn out. You can’t work like that every day. On the other had, do too little exercise and you won’t reach your goals either. You need to find a way to squeeze out every last opportunity for burning off calories, without pushing your body too far and overtraining.
3. They destroy their metabolism and damage their fat burning lean muscle mass.
This is the scariest of the three. And the one that’s responsible for jiggly arms, dimpled thighs, “slow metabolisms” and the dreaded rebound weight gain that follows most diets. The wrong workout program actually forces your body to eat its own lean muscle tissue! And when that happens, you destroy the machinery that keeps you lean.
Healthy lean muscle mass does more than just burn calories. It has a huge role to play in how you store calories and how well you burn your body’s fat stores for fuel.
Here are 3 workout secret weapons to keep you burning fat at 100% capacity.
1. Metabolic-Muscle Workouts:
This is where 90% of fat loss plans fail. Maintaining and even building the right level of lean calorie-burning muscle is essential if you want to hit 100% of your fat burning potential.
But most people ignore muscle entirely. The more muscle you have, the more machinery you can put to work, and the higher the “energy cost” you can create during a workout.
Another way muscle mass accelerates weight loss is through “insulin sensitivity”. Insulin is your body’s “storage” hormone — it shuttles energy and nutrients from your blood into your cells. If your insulin sensitivity goes down, you store more energy as fat.
2. Afterburner Workouts:
If you want to lose the greatest amount of flab as quickly as possible, you need to transform your metabolism into a 24/7 fat burning machine. And the best way to do that is with Interval Training.
When you do an interval Afterburner session, you actually keep melting flab for up to 38 hours after your workout. It’s called EPOC (Excess Post-Exercise Oxygen Consumption). In the 24-38 hours after a high intensity session, your body works frantically to restore a “normal” state. It has to replenish the fuels you used, remove the garbage byproducts left in your muscle cells and repair any muscle damage from your exercise session.
3. Cardio Movement:
A chain of bodyweight exercises fit together in a fun movement chain. They’re designed to take your body through it’s full range of motion, so you never encounter repetitive stress. It allows you to keep burning calories between more intense workouts, while still recovering 100%.

Dieting, Exercise and Survival During and After Hurricane Sandy

Hurricane Sandy has caused historical damages in New York City and New Jersey areas. Morris County NJ personal trainer Carey Yang shares his diet and exercise tips and how he survives 7 days (and still counting) without electricity and heat.

Hurricane Sandy made a historical impact on the East Coast this week. New York City and New Jersey are the hardest hit areas with more than $50 billion damages.

Millions of people are left in the dark and cold without electricity and heat. Gasoline to run cars and power generators has become such a demand and in big shortage. The famous 70-mile long Jersey Shore was washed off by surging storm and high tide. Sand has pushed inland a mile from the coastline damaging bridges and washing away houses.

Lower Manhattan, Staten Island and Long Island regions of New York are also hit hard with severe flooding and damages. New York City Marathon has to be cancelled for the first time after frustrated public outcry over long and delayed rescue effort.

"Although Hurricane Sandy warning started a few days earlier and many people have been preparing for it, the extent and size is simply beyond 100 years of historical storm," says Carey Yang, a certified personal trainer and fitness expert  in Morris County, New Jersey.

Yang is the owner and master personal trainer at Beyond Fitness Solutions, LLC -- a leading in-home personal training and weight-loss management company serving and helping clients in Morris County, Sussex County, Passaic County, Essex County and Somerset County areas in New Jersey.

Yang says, I still have no electricity or heat at home 7 days after Sandy and don't know the power will be back. Several downed trees need to saw off. Downed wires need repair. The coordination between tree service companies, township public workers and utility workers seems to be a challenge.

"I don't have power generator. Luckily I have a gas grill with a burner and a full tank of propane to warm up water for tea and coffee, cook soup and simple meals," Yang says. "Still, it's temporary, not meant to last for more than two weeks."

Yang provides a list of foods and diet for emergency:

● Preserved meats, fish, fruits, vegetables, beans, and soups. They are often full of additives and salts. On the other hand, canned food is easy to get and store for at least two years.
● Protein/fruit/granola bars. Look for the ones without any HFCS or unpronounceable ingredients.
● Dry cereal or granola.
● Dried fruits, grains and nuts. If you can, choose organic and buy in bulk to save money.
● Crackers: Buy high-quality, high-fiber ones.
● Juice, plus fluids with electrolytes.
● Water: This is key. “Water is a not-optional item. If you don’t have it, you die.

Lastly, here’s a list of non-food stuff to have on hand:
● Soap, or alcohol-based (60-95%) hand wash.
● Any prescription meds your family needs, plus a basic first-aid kit that includes a thermometer, fever meds such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen, and anti-diarrheal meds.
● Flashlights: If your flashlights use rechargeable batteries, good for you, but if the power goes out you wont be able to plug in the recharger. Consider a hand-crank flashlight or solar-powered ones and/or emergency candles.
● Portable radio. Here’s one that operates on solar, hand-crank or battery power and has a built-in cell phone charger and flashlight.
● Manual can opener.
● Garbage bags: Use them for trash, make-shift sleeping bags.
● Tissues, toilet paper, diapers (if water is in short supply, you won’t be washing cloth diapers, so go for disposable eco diapers) and feminine hygiene supplies.
