As you may know that to gain muscles or lose fat, you have to eat according to your goal along with proper strength training and aerobic exercises.
One method to consider is mega carb loading plan. If you are a carb lover, you're in luck today.
With this type of carb loading, you will consume 50% of your total daily caloric intake and 95% of your daily carbohydrate intake within 3 hours of beginning your muscle building workout.
By doing this, you provide your body with a massive surge of carbs and calories at the exact time that it is most responsive to suck up all those nutrients and use them for muscle repair and recovery.
NOTE: In order for this to work, you’ve got to be doing INTENSE, high volume workouts.
Go with a macronutrient breakdown of 30% protein, 40% carbohydrates, and 30% fat.
Assuming a 45-minute workout, the Mega Carbohydrate Load starts with your pre/during workout beverage, followed by your post workout beverage, followed by a carbohydrate containing protein shake 1/2 hour later, followed by two whole food meals.
The first whole food meal should be consumed 45 minutes after the carb containing protein shake, and then the second whole food meal another 45 minutes later.
The rest of the meals of the day should be protein + fat + veggies (with mi nimal carbs).
Also, by doing this the bulk of your calorie and carb intake comes at the most anabolic time of the day, and the rest of the time you are actually in a caloric deficit while limiting insulin and carbohydrate.
Here’s an example:
8:00 am: Low-carb protein shake with added fiber; 2 tablespoons of olive oil
10:30 am: 3 eggs plus 4 whites scrambled with 2 slices of cheese; 4 strips of bacon; 1/2 package of spinach
1:00 pm: Low-carb protein bar; 2 oz of dry roasted nuts
3:00 pm: 8 oz Cheeseburger (no bun, wrapped in lettuce); large salad with very low-calorie dressing
7:00 pm: 2 oz of pasta (dry weight); 4 oz of chicken breast; 2 slices of 12-grain bread; package of broccoli
7:45 pm: 2 oz of pasta (dry weight); 4 oz of chicken breast; 2 slices of 12-grain bread; package of asparagus
10:00 pm: Low-carb protein shake with added fiber; 1 tablespoon of olive oil; 2 cups of green beans; 20 grams of fish oil
Do not directly copy this diet as it likely calls for far too many calories for your size and build. Instead, copy the structure and the overlying principles based on your own calorie needs. Also, it is fundamentally important to consume just as many green veggies throughout the day in non-workout meals.

In it, Mike shares the shocking truth about the "healthy" foods in your home that are without a doubt KEEPING you fat, or at least substantially slowing your progress:
Stuff like:
*Whole Wheat Breads & Crackers
*"All Natural" Peanut Butter
*Canola Oil
*ALL Soy products
*Salmon & Tilapia
*Most store-bought Nuts
*Protein Bars
*Low-fat "packaged" foods
*Low-carb "packaged" foods
*Anything made by "company X" sold in the freezer section
And a LOT more.
He then goes on to teach you how to literally transform your diet from fat-storing to fat-burning in 24 hours by simply swapping out "bad" choices (that you've been deceived into believing are "healthy") for secret "ninja" foods with fat burning power that you didn't even know about.
Like:
*3 kinds of veggies that have been shown to directly combat abdominal/belly fat
*Chocolate (and how it can PREVENT "sweet" cravings)
*A certain type of saturated fat that actually lowers cholesterol and stimulates metabolism
*1 unique spice that controls insulin levels and leads to a leaner mid-section
*An "unusual" burger (yes, it's beef) that BURNS fat
Bottom line: In FBK, Mike teaches you ALL the foods that directly combat abdominal fat while ridding your kitchen of all the garbage "health" foods that are without a doubt sabotaging your fat loss efforts.
If you're serious about educating yourself and arming yourself with as much fat loss nutrition information as humanly possible, I'd definitely add Mike's program to your nutrition library before the sale ends.
You WILL learn plenty of new information (not a bunch of crap that you've already heard before).
Mike is including a bonus as part of the sale that details every single "nitty gritty" detail about how he managed to go from from 10.2% to 6.9% body
fat in just 23 days flat.
I'm talking meal composition, meal timing, macronutrient ratios, and everything else in between. This bonus is full of truly advanced information that is worth at least 5 times the amount of the entire package alone.
There are actually two best times. But really, there is only one.
Let me explain.
You see, the best time to eat carbs is when your body is best
primed to deal with them (that's the "one" rule), and this happens
to occur twice a day:
1. In the morning
2. After intense exercise
For one, loads of research has shown that glucose tolerance is
highest in the morning, making it a no brainer to consume a large
portion of your daily carb intake at breakfast when your body is
best equipped to process them.
If you're someone who consumes frequent meals, mid-morning
is a another great option.
Basically, the rule is this: eat your carbs in the morning, not the
afternoon or evening. Unless...
...you're performing intense exercise.
Perhaps (well not perhaps, it's true) an even better time to eat
your carbies is after exercise. During the 1-2 hour window post
workout your body is ultra primed to suck up carbs for recovery,
energy replenishment, and other anabolic processes (and NOT
fat storage).
Here are some sample daily "carb-friendly" schedules for both
exercise and non-exercise diets.
NY Knicks #17 Jeremy Lin drives past Kobe Bryant of LA Lakers in 92:85 win
on Feb. 9, 2012 at Madison Square Garden.
If you haven't soaked in Jeremy Lin "Linsanity" for this past week, you should be.
From Palo Alto High to Harvard, from Ivy League hoops to the NBA.
From the Warriors, where he was considered a novelty, a vanity project of the impetuous new owner, to a brush with the Houston Rockets to, finally, the New York Knicks.
Jeremy Lin, 23, unselected in the 2010 NBA draft, now stands astride the Big Apple, which of course crowns him as king of our world.
Well, at least for the moment.
After getting his first career start Monday and leading the Knicks to three victories, Lin went for 38 points Friday to take down the Los Angeles Lakers. Not only was he treated to "MVP" chants at Madison Square Garden, but he also has hijacked league discourse. If you miss his TV highlights, you'd be advised to check him out on YouTube.
The "Lin Sensation" capped the week with 5th straight win over Minnesota Timberwolves at 100:98.
With the NBA's first American-born player of Chinese or Taiwanese descent smashing barriers and taking a bulldozer to ethnic profiling, anyone with a pulse, no matter your loyalties, has to feel at least some of the warmth radiated by this incredible turn of events.
2. The first player from Harvard in the NBA since 1954
3. Every team in the NBA passed over him; he was not drafted.
4. Signed by the Knicks in December after he was cut by two teams.
5. Has scored 89 points in his first three starts, the most by any NBA player since the NBA-ABA merger in 1976-77.
6. Scored 38 points against the Lakers, outscoring Kobe Bryant.
7. With no apartment of his own, he slept on teammate Landry Fields’ couch the night before his first big game
Behind every great inspiring story lies lessons we all can learn from:
1. Believe in yourself when no one else does.Lin’s only the 3rd graduate from Harvard to make it to the NBA. He’s also one of only a handful of Asian-Americans to make it. He was sent by the Knicks to play for their D-League team 3 weeks ago in Erie, PA. He’d already been cut by two other NBA teams before joining the Knicks this year. You’ve got to believe in yourself, even when no one else does.
2. Seize the opportunity when it comes up.Lin got to start for the Knicks because they had to start him. They had too many injuries. Baron Davis was gone. The other point guards were out. Carmelo Anthony was injured. Amare Stoudemire had to leave the team because of a family death. Lin could have squandered the opportunity and we would have never have noticed. But he made the most of it. You never know when opportunities are going to arise in life. Often, they’re when you least expect them. Make the most of them. Don’t fritter them away.
3. Your family will always be there for you, so be there for them. It wasn’t until a few days ago that Lin got his contract guaranteed by the Knicks for the rest of the season. Before that, he could have been cut at any time. He had to sleep on his brother’s couch on the Lower East Side to get by. His family always believed in him and picked him up when he could have gotten down on himself. That made him continue to believe. If you want your family to believe in you like that, you’ve got to be there for them too when they need it.
4. Find the system that works for your style. Lin isn’t Michael Jordanor Kobe Bryant. He’s not a pure scorer. He’s a passer and distributor – who can also score very well. It didn’t work for him in Golden State or Houston – where he was before landing at the Knicks. But Mike D’Antoni’s system at the Knicks has been perfect for him to show off his strengths. You’ve got to do your best to understand what your strengths are and then ensure that you’re in a system (a job or organization or industry) that is a good fit for those strengths. Otherwise, people overlook the talents you bring to the table.
5. Don’t overlook talent that might exist around you today on your team. You probably manage people at your own company today. Are you sure you don’t have a Jeremy Lin living among you now? How do you know that “Mike” couldn’t do amazing things if you gave him a new project to run with? How do you know “Sarah” isn’t the right person to take the open job in London that you’ve been talking over with your colleagues? We put people around us in boxes. He’s from Harvard. He’s Asian-American. Not sure he can play. How many assumptions have you made about talent around you? Don’t be like the General Managers in Golden State and Houston, and let talent slip through your fingers. With all their money, scouts, and testing, they didn’t have a clue what they had in their hands. Do you know what your people (or even yourself) is really capable of? Take off the blinders of assumptions you wear when you look at the world.
6. People will love you for being an original, not trying to be someone else. You’ve got to be you. You can’t be some 2nd rate copy of Michael Jordan. There will never be another Michael Jordan. Just be Jeremy Lin — yourself. Whatever that is. That doesn’t mean you don’t work hard — it just means you find what you’re good at and do it. Fans will love you for being you, just like they love Jeremy Lin.
7. Stay humble. If you one day are lucky enough to have newspapers want to put you on the cover in order to sell more, don’t let it get to your head. It’s been remarkable watching how humble Lin remains through all this media frenzy. It makes his teammates and fans love him that much more.
8. When you make others around you look good, they will love you forever. I didn’t know how good Tyson Chandler was, until I saw him playing with Jeremy Lin. Lin has set Chandler up many times over the last week for easy dunks because he drew the defense and then passed the ball. That’s partly why the Knicks are playing so well. They are all working harder to share the ball with others. And it’s beautiful to watch. And when the media swarms Lin, he tells them how good his teammates are. Do the same with your peers and reports.
9. Never forget about the importance of luck or fate in life. Some people believe in God, some in destiny, some in luck. Whatever you believe in, be grateful for it.
10. Work your butt off. Lin couldn’t have seized his opportunity if he hadn’t worked like crazy for years perfecting his skills. There are no short cuts to hard work. Success is a by product of that. If you’ve got a Tiger Mom who’s always pushed you to work hard, great. If not, let your conscience be your own Tiger Mom! Get up early, stay up late. Nobody gave Lin any free passes. Why should you get any? You can only control what you control and that means you’ve got to work harder than anyone else you know.
I hope the Lin-sanity continues. And I hope we all can apply these lessons to our own work and family life.
Super Bowl 2012 is in full swing. Debate is hot on which team will win. Betting keeps going up. "Super Bowl is the largest sports event even if you don't watch (American) football games in regular season," says Carey Yang, a certified personal trainer and fitness expert.
Yang is the owner and master personal trainer at Beyond Fitness Solutions, LLC -- a leading in-home personal training and weight-loss management company serving and helping clients in Morris County, Sussex County, Passaic County, Essex County and Somerset County areas in New Jersey.
This year Super Bowl XLVI is the National Football League (NFL) championship game between the American Football Conference (AFC) champion New England Patriots and the National Football Conference (NFC) champion New York Giants to decide the National Football League (NFL) champion for the 2011 season. It is scheduled to be played Sunday, February 5, 2012, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. Kickoff time is scheduled for approximately 6:30 p.m. EST.
Super Bowl is more than just a champion game between two of the best teams of the year. It's about entertainment, partying, foods, drinks, commercials, advertisements, half time show and gossips. It means business.
Traditional Super Bowl party involves heavy fatty and greasy foods that can derail New Year's resolutions to lose weight just one month later.
"It doesn't have to be this way. I have created fat burning and conditioning workout routines you can do at various points during the Super Bowl game and party," Yang says.
